The Brigham team led by Pomahac has conducted three such surgeries. In addition to Wiens’ and the second full face transplant just weeks later, Pomahac and his team did a partial face transplant in early 2009. America's first full face transplant recipient greeted the public Monday, just weeks after the 15-hour procedure that gave him a nose, lips, skin, muscle and nerves.

"It feels natural," Dallas Wiens told reporters at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. "The first thing I was able to smell was hospital lasagna," said Wiens, who is still blind. Hospital lasagna.

"You wouldn't imagine it, but it smelled delicious," Wiens said.

Plastic surgeon Bohdan Pomahac, who performed the operation on Wiens, said the transplant's results were better than he expected.

This DVD player is really-really great I think. The menu system is the best I've used in a player and I returned both a Sony BD560 and a Samsung 6500 before getting this unit. Just a few notes for those that might be thinking of getting it this player.
#1 The internet options are extensive, new options to me like Amazon streaming and Skype, mixed with the mainstay apps like Netflix, Pandora, and many more. make this player very attractive to the streaming and online entertainment user.

#2 The firmware the unit currently ships with will not let you get into the Internet streaming apps or anything for that matter until you update the firmware. Updating the firmware from the 1.09 firmware it ships with will not work as of this date via wireless or wired internet connections. The secondary option is to burn the frmware to a disc. This you think would be straight foward, but it isn't. Using Windows 7 or Vista, you MUST create an ISO 9660 ONLY... I went through 3 coasters before this player could properly read the Firmware update disc I created to bring it up to 1.47. Using any other ISO format will fail.

#3, Netflix... I have 2 accounts, one old, one new and active. Got them mixed up during the install process and had my OLD netflix account essentially bound to the unit. No way to empty the cache, or sign-out and login with a new username and password (It doesn't use the code on screen method like a lot of players, you actually log into netflix from the machine) To wipe out the incorrect netflix ID, I had to factory reset the Blu-Ray player. Which meant setting everything up again. My shared drives (You can map a shared folder on your network to play files, very nice) Wireless, everything had to be set up again.

#4 No on board memory. It supports SD cards for Storage for Blu Ray online features and other apps, but it has no storage of its own. I personally found this to be nice, especially given I have many SD cards laying around from 1 to 8 gigs in size. But if you want to take full advantage of extras on Blue Rays, add the cost of an SD card to your price (Or possibly USB thumb drive??? haven't tested) in order to have on-board storage.

This player is fast, has an outstanding menu system. A very reliable network interface (Take note Samsung!) and has some nice next-gen features such as touch-less ejecting, kind of novel, but I did find myself liking it.... having come from the Samsung 6500 just recently, I found the fact that the player keeps you informed with on screen displays as to what it is doing if their are the common loading delays when first starting Blu-Rays for instance, a very nice change from the black of screen of questioning I always had with the Samsung model. And Sony's 560 had a very lame netflix interface so that wasn't an option for me after seeing it, given I use streaming a LOT.
For the 2011 models, I'd like to see the offerings from the competitors before I whole heartily recommend this one, but I'm very happy with my purchase. Panasonic seems to know what they are doing with UI's, UI user Feedback and general tech savyness in their Blu-Ray players. (aside from the current Firmware glitch)

Too low-pressure can lead to "fuel starvation" engine misfire, excessive vibration or stop the engine under load. Too much pressure causes uneven engine running too rich mixture, and excessive pollution.

Electric fuel pumps are usually installed in fuel tank (intake), although some can be installed outside. Some cars may be equipped with two pumps (one pump inside the tank and the main pump on the outside). The location of the pump in the fuel tank helps mute the buzzing noise of pump's electric motor. Submersion into the fuel helps lubricate and cool the pump's engine. Driving with fuel tank filled with less than ¼ of its volume can shorten the life of the pump and cause rapid overheating. It also increases risk of pump left without of gas during rapid acceleration or deceleration.

The pump is usually part of a module that also includes a float that carries electrical signals to the level indicator, located on the dashboard. If the fuel pump needs replacing, it can be replaced separately or the complete module assembly (it is expensive, but much easier).

Different electric fuel pumps have different designs. Some older designs used to use forced displacement of the circulation pump chamber. This type of pump can produce very high pressure and constant flow. But at the outlet of the fuel pump has been strong pressure fluctuations, so often in the gas line after the pump was installed damper to reduce the amplitude of pulsation of gas pressure. Circulating chamber can also be installed outside the tank and used with the second low-pressure pump installed in the fuel tank.

Use of an improper specs can cause deterioration of performance of the car.

How does electric fuel pump work?

When the ignition, the electronic control unit excites the relay, which supplies voltage to fuel pump, its motor starts to rotate, and within a few seconds it creates necessary gas pressure. Fuel feeds into the inlet pump through a mesh filter to delay the rust and dirt. Outlet of the pump the gas passes through the check valve, single acting (valve maintains a residual pressure in the system, when pump does not work) and feeds to the engine through the fuel line and filter. The fuel filter catches any rust, dirt and other solid contaminants that have passed through the pump to prevent the penetration of these particles in the injectors.

Further, the gas enters the fuel rail, located on the engine and from the rail to each injector. Fuel pressure regulator, located on the ramp, maintains the fuel pressure and throws any excess back to the tank. Start the engine and the electric fuel pump starts to operate continuously and to keep pumping gas until the engine is running. If the engine stops, then the electronic control unit receives a signal from the sensor and the crankshaft ECU will turn off the pump.

A lot of cars (especially Fords) have an inertial emergency switch which disables the fuel pump in the event of an accident. It is envisaged to reduce the risk of fire when the fuel line is damaged. To return the emergency transmitter to its original state - press the reset button on the sensor. On older cars pumps operated at a constant speed. In newer designs pump's speed is being controlled by the electronic control unit in order to precisely match allowed specifications.

Fuel pump failure

The fuel pump can fail for several reasons: - Due to the presence of contaminants inside the fuel tank (dirt or rust); - When driving out of gas; - As a result of overheating (in constant motion with a low level of gas in tank); - Low voltage (problems with electrical wiring); - As a result of overloading (for a clogged fuel filter excessive resistance of the filter element can cause an overload of electric motor pump). The harder the conditions of the fuel pump, the more power is required for its operation. Electric fuel pump often fails without any warning. You may drive your car without a trouble, and within a minute the pump fails, the engine just stalls and the car gets up in the middle of the road. By what signs can one predict the damage the fuel pump? One way is to listen to the noise of the pump when the ignition is on. Complete absence of noise indicates that it is not working. It can be caused by a malfunction of the pump, pump relay malfunction, the fuse or the lack of voltage. On most cars when fuel pump fails you wouldn't see usual Check Engine light on. Most modern engines equipped with the union to check the fuel pressure on the ramp nozzles. Connecting fuel pressure gauge to the fitting check valve will quickly show whether the pump produces pressure or not. On engines without pressure test union, to measure pressure can be done by connecting directly to the fuel line at the junction of the ramp. If the gauge indicates zero - the pump does not work. If the pressure is less than nominal, it will be necessary to carry out further diagnosis to identify the causes of low fuel pressure.

Google langsung memberikan hukuman bukan peringatan

Saya anggap ini sebagai pelajaran berharga bahwa memang benar di dunia ini ada yang namanya perputaran, kadang siang kadang malam, kadang di atas kadang di bawah, kadang dapat PR kadang dapat RP (wah kalau ini mah semua juga mau yah :) ), lebih mau lagi kalau bukan dapat RP tapi dapat $. Dengan peringkat 3 selama kurang lebih tiga bulan ini blog ini sudah memberikan saya domain gratis, soalnya sudah ada beberapa job yang hinggap di sini. Mungkin karena job-job itu juga hadiah 3 diminta kembali sama google. Kalau tidak salah google kan memang tidak suka dengan namanya paid reviews, teks link ads, pokoknya yang menjadi sumber dollar buat blogger selain dari adsense.

Mungkin maunya google, semua orang yang punya blog konsennya ke konten saja dan diselingi dengan adsense saja atau kalau nggak segala jenis usaha yang berpartner dengan google saja. Namun hari demi hari setelah sering main ke sana kemari, melihat perkembangan dari rekan-rekan saya semakin tertantang, semakin penasaran dengan istilah yang biasa disebut SEO (Search Engine Optimazion) aduh bener gak ini yah kepanjangannya hehehe. Bahkan ada perusahaan yang sampai mengeluarkan ribuan dollar untuk membuat event skala dunia hanya untuk mencari bagaimana sebenarnya SEO itu terbentuk atau bagaimana membuat web itu SEO friendly. Tujuannya jelas, jika suatu web punya rangking yang bagus dan seo yang bagus tentu banyak advertiser atau justru web advertiser tersebut punya peluang besar menjaring konsumen gratis hanya dari Search Engine. Untuk beberapa kata yang tidak diikutkan dalam event atau kontes SEO sih blog ini ada yang berada di urutan depan halaman SERP google. Memang google itu baik kok, jika kita juga baik dengan google. Buktinya blog ini yang tanpa SEO macem-macem (terlihat dari meta descriptionnya saja tidak ada) diberikan PR lumayan yakni 3. Sedang blog sebelah yang baru saya rintis sekitar bulan Oktober juga diberi PR 2. Dengan PR pemberian gratis dari google ini blog ini maupun sebelah sudah memberi saya beberapa domain sekaligus hosting gratis tis tis hehe (maksudnya beli pake hasil dari PTR blog ini).

Dengan bekal kebaikan mbah google saya penasaran mampu enggak yah kalau blog sebelah dioptimasi (keren amat dioptimasi), maksudnya yah dikenal-kenalkan ke rekan lain, mampu enggak bersaing dengan master-master blogger dalam kancah kontes lokal. Dan ternyata beberapa waktu yang lalu sempat berada di halaman pertama google. Namun karena suatu hal yang saya sendiri juga tidak tahu tiba-tiba langsung drop ke halaman 5 sampai dengan tulisan ini dibuat. Waduh sayang banget kan, posisi sudah lumayan bagus langsung melorot. Maksud saya bahkan hanya dengan blogspot saja kita bisa menghasilkan apalagi para master blogging yang sudah benar-benar serius terjun dalam dunia PTR atau internet opportunities yang lain tentunya untuk mendapat penghasilan hanya dari kegemaran ngeblog bukan menjadi hal yang sulit lagi. Waduh, belum ada separuh jalan kok rasanya udah males banget mo bikin artikel tentang Kampanye Damai soalnya memang tidak begitu tertarik soal-soal yang menyangkut politik. Kalau menurut saya jalan terbaik untuk kita bisa mengatasinya mungkin dengan memperbanyak tanaman penolak nyamuk entah itu lavender, zodia atau sejenisnya kalau kita coba tengok di daerah Jakarta selatan tepatnya di dekat Fatmawati sana yang terkenal penduduknya membudidayakan tanaman hias, selain sebagai pengusir nyamuk juga menjadi mata pencaharian mereka. Dan jika mereka ditanya kenapa mereka selalu membuka lebar-lebar pintu dan jendela mereka baik siang maupun malam hari, apakah tidak takut akan nyamuk dan binatang lain seperti serangga atau tikus, mereka menjawab bahwa selama mereka mengembangkan tanaman-tanaman pengusir nyamuk itu lingkungan mereka aman dari serangan seperti itu. Wah kalau gitu kita bisa mengikuti jejak mereka dong! Tapi yang jadi pertanyaan kalau yang mau menanam cuman kita sendiri bukankah tidak akan terlalu bermanfaat? Inilah yang menjadi hambatan tidak semua warga peduli terhadap lingkungan, boro-boro mau menanam tanaman hias seperti itu, untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya saja susah untuk ditaati. Tapi saya tetap berharap suatu saat Indonesia bisa terhindar dari segala macam penyakit, dan terutama masyarakat kita sadar akan lingkungan sebelum semuanya terlambat.

Hari ini saya coba koneksi internet murah dengan menggunakan handphone (GSM) dengan kabel DKU-11 sebagai konektivitasnya. Saya mau mencoba bagaimana sebenarnya kualitas internet yang ditawarkan di sini. Katanya per November 2008 kalau tidak salah Mentari mengeluarkan paket voucher internet nominal Rp 5.000,00 dengan harga berkisar 6-7 ribu. Katanya lagi kecepatannya mencapai 256 Kbps. Kalau dihitung-hitung 5.000 = 250 menit, 1 jam ada 60 menit, berarti 5.000 = 4 jam 10 menit, artinya 1 jamnya kira-kira hanya 1.200 an lah (murah banget kan). Melihat perhitungan itu jadi kepikiran mau nyoba ...

Berbagai trik dan strategi per SEO an mulai diterapkan untuk menjadi anak kesayangan google, menjadi urutan 10 besar teratas di SERP nya. Kalau Anda termasuk yang suka online berjam-jam hanya untuk chating-chatingan (seperti saya dulu) pakai Yahoo Messenger, ini ada trik untuk bisa membuka YM lebih dari satu account pada satu kompie, info ini dapat dari mr batman (xteamweb). Buka "Run" ketik "regedit"
masuk ke "{HKEY_CURRENT_USER-->SOFTWARE-->YAHOO-->PAGER}"

Pernah anda merasakan gatal-gatal di sekujur tubuh secara tiba-tiba? Diikuti dengan bentol-bentol merah merata di sekujur tubuh juga. Mungkin anda terkena yang namanya biduran. Nah itu yang baru saja saya alami, sehabis pulang kerja mampir dulu untuk refreshing maen bulu tangkis dengan rekan kerja. Setelah main satu set tiba-tiba tangan kaki terus menjalar ke seluruh badan terasa gatal-gatal. Saya pikir itu hanya karena keringat yang mulai keluar, tapi ternyata saya salah. Setelah keringat mulai mengering gatal gatal tidak juga hilang malah sekarang nambah muncul bentol-bentol merah. Semakin lama semakin banyak, dalam hati saya pikir wah sudah neh kena campak neh. Tapi campak kok tidak panas, paling tidak kok tidak ada tanda-tanda demam sama sekali. Saya tanya ke teman saya kenapa ini ya. Ada yang bilang itu biduran, ada juga itu cuman alergi makanan.

Saya coba-coba ingat, apa yang telah saya makan sebelumnya. Perasaan saya tidak ada yang istimewa yang saya makan tadi. Lagipula kalau alergi saya belum pernah alergi apapun, tambah bingung saya. Wah sebenarnya kenapa neh saya, campak, biduran atau alergi? Malah ada yang bilang kalau saya darah rendah. Kalau kena campak, saya kan sudah pernah imunisasi campak lagipula tidak ada demam katanya ciri-ciri campak itu kan ada demamnya, sedang ciri-ciri alergi gatal-gatal, bentol-bentol. Berarti saya memang kena alergi, telusur kena telusur saya tadi makan kacang methe sedikit, apa karena itu ya. Yah, kesimpulan sementara saya kena alergi kacang methe. Terus teman memberikan resep sederhana untuk mengobati alergi saya, teman saya itu memberikan sprite dan minyak tawon. Sprite tentunya untuk saya minum dan minyak tawon saya oleskan di seluruh badan. Dan tak lama kemudian ternyata gatal gatal dengan bentol-bentol merah di tubuh saya mulai menghilang. Terima kasih Tuhan, saya tidak jadi mengeluarkan ongkos tambahan untuk ke dokter.

Apakah biduran sama dengan alergi?

Biduran kalau dulu saya pikir beda dengan alergi, tapi setelah saya jalan-jalan (bw) kok banyak yang menyimpulkan alergi itu sama dengan biduran. Terus tanda-tandanya seperti yang saya sebutkan tadi, gatal-gatal di seluruh badan diikuti bentol-bentol. Alergi ini biasanya diakibatkan karena makanan. Resep sederhana lain yang bisa digunakan, minum air kelapa ijo, minum sprite dan olesin minyak tawon (seperti saya), bata merah dihancurkan kemudian di sangrai kemudian dibungkus dan ditempel-tempelkan pada bagian yang gatal. Menurut ceritanya resep-resep sederhana tersebut bisa mengatasi biduran atau alergi. Memang bukan cara paling cepat namun sudah banyak yang teruji, entah karena memang khasiatnya atau hanya karena sugesti. Jadi jika anda merasakan tanda-tanda biduran atau alergi resep sederhana ini bisa anda coba.

Susahnya menerima hal yang baru

Sering terlintas dalam benak saya, kenapa jika kita akan mendapat atau menerima hal baru justru terjadi penolakan hebat. Apalagi jika hal baru itu jauh dari kebiasaan kita sebelumnya. Dalam hal ini bukan tentang gosip artis terbaru, atau mp3 indonesia terbaru, ataupun 3gp terhot bukan itu, kalau soal itu mungkin lain ceritanya. Yang saya maksud hal baru di sini adalah peraturan-peraturan baru, entah dari pemerintah, dari lingkungan sekitar atau dari tempat kerja kita. Sebagai contoh yang masih menjadi perdebatan namun tetap harus dijalankan adalah peraturan tentang masuk sekolah pukul 06.30. Seperti yang lain, sayapun sebenarnya keberatan tentang peraturan ini, bukan karena tidak mau namun karena saya lebih berpikir ke anak-anak. Untuk sekolah-sekolah negeri mungkin ini bukan menjadi persoalan besar. Namun bagi sekolah-sekolah swasta tentu ini menjadi masalah yang kompleks.

Di samping harus bersaing mendapat hati dari calon orang tua, juga harus selalu mentaati aturan dari pemerintah, yang kadang terkesan hanya memihak kepada kepentingan pribadi atau golongan. Jika memang kebijakan itu memang bisa membuat perubahan yang berarti mungkin bisa sedikit diterima, namun jika justru sebaliknya bagaimana timbal baliknya, apa kompensasi yang diberikan? Bukankah hanya permintaan maaf. Itulah sedikit dari hal baru yang mungkin bertujuan bagus namun susah untuk diterima dan dijalankan. Karena dengan menerima dan menjalankannya ada konsekuensi yang harus dihadapi. Belum lagi dengan hal-hal yang baru yang lainnya. Bagaimana menurut pendapat anda? Cara memasukkan data ke BIOSD lewat excel

Sekedar sharing saja, beberapa waktu yang lalu saya mendapat tugas untuk entry data siswa ke BIOSD. Kebetulan saya seorang buruh di sebuah sekolah swasta di Jakarta. Sehabis liburan tahun baru sudah harus berkutat kembali dengan setumpuk pekerjaan. Lagi-lagi deadline penyerahan yang begitu mendesak membuat saya harus berpikir bagaimana cara supaya bisa lebih cepat input di software BIOSD dari dinas. Mungkin bagi yang sudah mengenal bahasa pemrograman itu bukan pekerjaan yang susah, tapi untuk saya yang 100% newbie mencari tahu bagaimana cara bisa mengerjakan BIOSD lebih cepat bukan perkara yang mudah. Kemudian yang terlintas saat itu hanyalah google. Saya harus cari informasi di sana, setelah coba cari tahu sana-sini ternyata belum ada satu pun web atau blog yang memberikan informasi bagaimana cara input cepat BIOSD. Saat mencari itu justru nemu perintah-perintah dos, yang saya pikir juga perlu kita tahu.

Akhirnya saya coba-coba sendiri buka BIOSD, saya coba memasukkan beberapa data secara manual. Kemudian saya lihat hasilnya ternyata di folder BIOSD muncul sebuah folder lagi sesuai dengan kode wilayah pengisian kita misal 01-05 (01 = DKI Jakarta, 05 = Kode Jakarta Timur). Di dalam folder ada juga 2 folder lagi dengan nama Biodata dan DNT, nah file yang bisa kita utak-atik file yang ada di folder Biodata ini. Saya coba buka dengan open with kemudian saya pilih excel, ternyata bisa kebuka. Untunglah ... saya sedikit lega, dalam hati kalau bisa dibuka excel pasti bisa saya akalin. Dan ternyata memang benar saya bisa utak atik (maksudnya bisa saya isikan data ke file excel ini).

Setelah data masuk semua ke excel langkah terakhir yang kita lakukan dengan cara edit (tekan enter) kemudian enter kembali sampai dengan jumlah data yang kita inputkan, maka data yang otomatis dari sofware akan muncul dengan sendirinya. Namun jangan lupa pada saat menekan save pada file excel jangan mengganti extencinya. File sourcenya .dbf harus tetap .dbf. Dan akhirnya pekerjaan bisa selesai dengan lebih cepat. Terima kasih excel, meskipun program sederhana tapi terbukti mampu mempermudah pekerjaan kantor. Saya rasa masih banyak juga buruh seperti saya yang masih memanfaatkan Ms Office dalam pekerjaannya. Meski belum lulus sertifikasi dari microsoft ternyata saya bisa sedikit mengakal-akalin excel. Untuk anda yang seperti saya, apakah anda masih kesulitan dengan excel, khususnya dalam pengerjaan BIOSD, BIOSMP, atau BIOSMA ini?

Antara mimpi, angan, dan kenyataan

Setiap orang pasti punya mimpi. Mimpi indah merupakan harapan semua orang. Manusia hidup tanpa mimpi, rasanya seperti sayur kurang garam. Bahkan mungkin banyak yang merasakan mimpi adalah sebuah firasat, wangsit, pertanda, ramalan, dan lain sebagainya. Sebagian orang yang lain mengganggap bahwa mimpi hanyalah bunga tidur. Apapun persepsi yang ada atau anda yakini, jika mau menyadari mimpi merupakan sebuah pengalaman yang juga merupakan anugrah Tuhan. Mana mungkin manusia bisa menciptakan mimpi, seandainya bisa pun itu sudah bukan mimpi lagi namun sebuah angan-angan dan jika angan itu sudah diperjuangkan kemudian menjadi terwujud itulah sebuah kenyataan atau realita.

Akhirnya PR 3 nongol kembali ...

Lega bercampur bingung, dalam hati masih bertanya-tanya google kenapa sih? Servernya yang error atau server data centernya lagi down seperti kata sobat saya di komen postingan saya PR 3 bikin bingung. Malah sampai sempat cari-cari tahu di google support help nya, tetep aja belum ketahuan. Tapi sore ini, setelah tepat satu minggu Page Rank google yang ada di footer blog ini sudah menunjukkan angka 3, sudah sesuai dengan yang ada di google toolbar. Wah, terima kasih mbah sudah mengembalikan angka 3 nya. Saya coba jaga baik-baik. Sempat terpikir apa karena saya berhasil "merayu" si mbah buat mengembalikan, atau perbaikan server di data center udah kelar. Semoga saja nanti tidak hilang lagi, dan moga aja nanti bisa naik lagi (maunya seh). Punya rekan-rekan yang seperti saya bagaimana PR nya? Sudah normal kembali atau belum? Kalau belum mbah google nya dirayu dulu, sapa tahu memang harus butuh rayuan.

Tips menambah ram dengan flash disk

Spesifikasi yang tinggi pada PC desktop maupun Notebook kita jika tidak diimbangi dengan yang namanya RAM, maka sama saja kinerjanya juga kurang optimal. Seperti halnya website ataupun blog kita, PC maupun laptop perlu juga dioptimasi. Meskipun saya juga masih belum tahu bagaimana cara optimasi blog agar search engine friendly, tapi setidaknya saya belajar selangkah demi selangkah. Lalu bagaimana cara optimasi PC atau notebook kita? Selain spesifikasi yang tinggi diperlukan juga ram yang besar pula. Jika kita mampu, tentu saja tidak akan menjadi masalah untuk mendapatkan PC berspesifikasi tinggi sekaligus dengan ram yang besar, namun bagi yang pas-pasan (seperti saya) atau sudah terlanjur membeli PC atau laptop dengan ram minim ternyata ada cara untuk bisa mengakalinya, namun bukan berarti tidak mengeluarkan dana sama sekali. Untuk bisa menambah kapasitas ram diperlukan ruang untuk cache memory, nah untuk itu kita memerlukan sebuah flash disk.

Cara menambah ram dengan flash disk yang pertama adalah dengan menggunakan sofware. Sofware itu adaah eBoostr. Dengan eboostr prosesnya cachenya otomatis. Sebagai catatan bahwa jika flash disk digunakan sebagai penambah ram maka flash disk tersebut tidak bisa digunakan lagi untuk menyimpan data. Jika anda ingin mencoba dengan sofware tersebut anda bisa googling atau bisa download langsung dari sini.

Cara kedua yaitu dengan mengubah virtual memory yang ada pada properties My Computer. Langkah-langkahnya sebagai berikut:

Pasangkan flashdisk ke komputer
Klik kanan pada My Computer lalu pilih Properties
Klik tab Advanced, lalu klik tombol Settings pada kotak Performance
Pada jendela yang muncul, klik tab Advanced lalu klik tombol Change pada kotak Virtual memory
Pilih drive C, kemudian pilih No paging file. Jika sudah lanjutkan dengan mengklik tombol Set
Pilih drive 'flashdisk' anda (misalkan drive F), biasanya diberi nama Removable disk jika anda belum memberi nama pada flashdisk tersebut. Setelah itu pilih System managed size dan dilanjutkan dengan mengklik tombol Set
Perhatikan pada kotak Total paging file size for All drives. Nilai Recommended nya jangan melebihi kapasitas flashdisk

Masih seputar Page Rank dari google, maaf kalau kebanyakan tulis tentang PR yang naik turun soalnya memang saya masih penasaran. Apakah yang iseng google atau site mypagerank yang lagi error. Bingung neh, begini ceritanya tadi pas buka pertama firefox kok ada updatean google toolbar, gak tau apa kemaren tidak sengaja install atau gimana yang jelas google toolbar nambahin di address barnya mozilla. Nah waktu lihat di google toolbar itu kan ada menu PageRank nya yang menunjukkan PR setiap site yang kita kunjungi, di situ saya lihat kok rumah saya ini masih PR 3. Sementara di footer blog saya ini tampilannya 0. Bener-bener membuat saya bingung, yang asli yang mana? Yang salah yang mana? Kira-kira tampilannya seperti ini.

NPWP atau Single Identification Number?

Hari Sabtu kemarin di kantor ada sosialisasi tentang NPWP. Tahu kan kepanjangan NPWP, kalau belum tahu silakan tanya ke Bapak/Ibu guru. Sempat terpikir juga NPWP ini apa mungkin bisa menjadi seperti SSN (Social Security Number) yang ada di US sana. Mungkin seandainya bisa terlaksana seperti itu berarti Pemerintah serius ingin memberantas korupsi dan serius untuk maju. Tapi seandainya hanya setengah-setengah, maka pastinya hanya akan menguntungkan pihak-pihak tertentu yang tidak bertanggung jawab alias para koruptor uang negara. Seluruh rakyat diminta untuk tertib pajak, namun setelah terkumpul hanya diambil oleh satu dua orang oknum.

Menurut penjelasan yang saya terima kemarin ada beberapa point yang bisa saya sampaikan di sini, namun jika masih ada yang kurang saya minta maaf sebelumnya, soalnya baru sekali saya menerima sosialisasi dan belum terlalu mendetail. Point-point yang bisa saya sampaikan antara lain:

Per Januari 2008 kalau tidak salah ada peraturan pemerintah yang mengharuskan setiap warga negara mempunyai NPWP (peraturannya ada di sini)
Pemerintah memberi kelonggaran dengan memberikan Sunset Policy (detailnya juga bisa dibaca di pajak.go.id)
Setiap tahun kita harus melaporkan SPT (nomornya saya lupa) ke KPP tempat kita terdaftar.
Manfaat kita mempunyai NPWP: pajak lebih kecil, bebas fiskal bagi yang ingin ke luar negeri (bea fiskal mencapai Rp 2.500.000,00)
Pemerintah akan memberikan sanksi bagi yang belum melaporkan bukti pajaknya sampai akhir Maret setiap tahunnya. (berarti untuk 2009 adalah 31 Maret 2009)
Sanksi yang diberikan bisa berupa denda atau kurungan.
Ketentuan pajak berlaku 5 tahun ke belakang dari tahun terdaftar. Jadi selain kita diajak untuk bisa tertib membayar dan melaporkan juga tertib administrasi.
Pembayaran pajak dapat dilakukan di bank dan atau kantor pos.
Pelaporan dapat dilakukan langsung ke KPP dimana kita terdaftar atau via kantor pos atau tiki. (TIKI adalah satu-satunya lembaga swasta pengiriman barang yang ditunjuk pemerintah)
Jika melapor via TIKI atau kantor pos, simpan bukti pengiriman sebagai tanda bukti lapor ke pajak.
Atau mungkin bisa dilakukan secara online (tentunya dengan syarat dan ketentuan sesuai yang ada di websitenya) ada beberapa web yang memberikan layanan online untuk pelaporan pajak, anda bisa klik disini untuk informasinya.
Nomor unik yang tidak akan pernah berubah adalah 9 digit dari depan. 3 digit dibelakangnya adalah kode KPP tempat kita terdaftar. Silakan klik di sini untuk melihat daftar alamat KPP.

Meskipun udah pengen melupakan apa yang baru saja terjadi tapi tetep saja masih mengganjal. Rasa penasaran masih saja hinggap di benak saya. Yah, gara-gara PR itu kemarin kok bisa begini ya. PR yang saya pikir hadiah terindah tahun baru dari google ternyata cuman seumur jagung (malah belum mungkin). Malam Minggu ini ada sebenarnya udah ada rencana mau kerja lembur, mo nyoba mengerjakan tugas dari BV yang kebetulan kemaren memberikan email ke saya. Kemaren waktu pertama online dan pertama buka blog ini, saya sudah seneng bukang main karena ada kejutan di awal tahun. Sekitar tahun 2001 dulu saya sempat mengikuti program search dibayar dollar, nama programnya Epilot dan memang pada waktu itu saya dapat kiriman check sebesar $25. Sedikit memang, tapi itu sudah membuat saya senang dan percaya bahwa internet bisa menjadi alternatif sumber penghasilan. Namun tidak berapa lama kemudian Epilot mengganti ketentuan dalam TOS nya dan mungkin itu disebabkan oleh banyaknya cheat-cheat(kecurangan) terutama dari negeri tercinta kita ini, Indonesia. Nah sekarang kayaknya ada program yang hampir sejenis dan yang lebih membuat percaya program ini bayarannya realistis (tidak terlalu tinggi dan tidak terlalu rendah), satu lagi menurut cerita SE yang bekerjasama dengan perusahaan ini dulunya mbah google tapi entah dengan alasan apa partnernya berganti ke site dengan ranking alexa nomor #1, yahoo.

Saat membuka lembaran-lembaran salah satu tabloid mingguan, saya tertarik menyimak dan merenungkan isinya. Isinya yang singkat, padat, tapi berisi ini membuat saya hanyut dalam permenungan. Kisah perumpamaan yang menyadarkan saya tentang suatu hal, hidup itu memang sebuah perjuangan. Perjuangan melawan sesuatu yang sangat sulit ditaklukan, yakni diri kita sendiri. Saat kita sudah menjadikan diri kita sendiri sebagai kawan maka hidup akan terasa lebih enjoy. Kisah yang akan saya bagikan ini akan mampu memberikan inspirasi dan motivasi bagi kita untuk bisa berubah menjadi lebih baik, menjadi pribadi yang lebih berkualitas, jika anda tertarik silakan lanjutkan membaca.

Ada cerita tentang seekor anak elang yang bercampur dengan anak ayam (tidak diceritakan bagaimana bisa tercampurnya). Anak elang tersebut hidup diantara anak ayam, ia menganggap induk ayam itu adalah induknya juga. Dalam pikirannya yang ada dia adalah seekor ayam. Hari-harinya dilalui bersama dengan ayam yang lain. Sebagai seekor ayam ia mencari makan sama seperti yang lain, mencari-cari cacing di tanah, atau makanan-makanan yang ada di sana dengan cakarnya. Jika kita hidup dalam satu pikiran dan tidak mau melihat lebih dalam maka kita hanya akan menjadi seperti elang yang berada dalam lingkungan ayam sehingga mengubah pola pikirnya menjadi seekor ayam. Lalu siapakah yang salah? Nasib, peruntungan, atau takdir? Selama kita terjebak pada satu pola pikir yang tidak tepat (soalnya belum tentu salah) maka kita akan terjerumus pada satu keadaan yang tidak tepat juga. Seandainya elang itu kemudian sadar bahwa dirinya elang maka pasti ia akan berusaha merubah pola pikirnya, ia akan berusaha mengubah cara hidupnya, dan itu tentunya tidak akan mudah. Sama halnya seperti kita, jika kita sudah tahu ada yang salah dalam diri kita, apakah kita mau berubah atau tidak itu tergantung kita sendiri, dan pastinya perubahan itu tidak semudah saat mengucapkannya. Mau seperti elang yang berpola seperti ayam atau tidak itu pilihan kita sendiri. Siapkah kita untuk berubah ke arah yang lebih baik?

Tips menghadapi kemacetan

Sudah genap satu minggu tidak 'bercinta' dengan blog. Tampaknya my lovely blog ini mendapat respon cukup baik, terlihat dari feedjt nya banyak pengunjung yang datang dari SE, meskipun saya seminggu ini tidak posting sama sekali. Bahkan OL juga cuman beberapa menit. Kesibukan kantor yang baru saya jalani membuat untuk posting atau sekedar online saja tidak sempat (padahal bukan orang penting). Beberapa waktu lalu saya mendapat tugas untuk mengikuti workshop ke daerah Ciganjur, Depok. Atau mungkin lebih tepatnya team work kali ya, soalnya kerja tim :). Sebelumnya saya sudah survey tempat terlebih dahulu, takut nanti pada hari H nya tersesat. Anda tahu kan bagaimana keadaan Jakarta dan sekitarnya pada jam-jam masuk dan pulang kerja, terutama pada hari Senin, itu seperti yang saya sampaikan di blog sebelah. Kemacetan, kesemrawutan, keributan, yang berujung pada kecelakaan seandainya tidak waspada. Itu pula yang terpikir oleh saya waktu diberikan tugas ini, pasti kemacetan hebat yang akan saya hadapi. Lalu ini tips yang saya lakukan untuk menghadapi kemacetan tersebut:

Ini tips 'menghadapi' kemacetan yah, bukan tips mengatasi kemacetan, kalau mengatasi kemacetan itu sudah ada yang menanganinya, seperti sistem ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) yang masih dalam taraf kajian, juga proyek busway dengan bus transjakartanya yang ternyata tidak terlalu membantu, malah ada kabar terbaru jam sekolah dan jam kerja karyawan negeri dan swasta akan diatur (diajukan atau diundur) atau proyek lain apa lagi nantinya, kita nantikan saja kinerja pemerintah kita ini. Bagi kita sebagai warga yang baik harus punya positive thinking dan optimis dengan mereka, beri kesempatan dan dukungan untuk Bapak-bapak yang terhormat dengan tidak lupa memberikan saran dan kritik yang membangun. Semoga kerja mereka benar-benar dilandasi oleh keikhlasan demi kemajuan bangsa, terutama DKI sebagai barometernya. Setuju? Wah kok jadi lebar panjang eh kebalik, berikut ini tips yang saya lakukan:

Jika Anda mengalami seperti saya, ditugaskan dari kantor atau lingkungan anda yang menuntut anda harus pergi ke suatu tempat dan belum tahu benar situasi dan kondisinya yang perlu anda lakukan adalah survey tempat terlebih dahulu. Cari tahu letaknya jika dengan melihat peta saja anda sudah cukup maka carilah peta yang benar-benar menggambarkan tempat yang akan anda tuju.
Setelah survey tempat langkah berikutnya adalah mempersiapkan barang bawaan anda dengan cermat dan teliti, bawa sesuai dengan kebutuhan atau keperluan anda.
Cari jalan alternatif dengan cara melihat peta yang lengkap tadi. Jika memungkinkan tanya ke beberapa tukang ojek atau supir angkot (terserah anda), karena mereka biasanya mengetahui dengan pasti jalan-jalan 'tikus' yang akan mempercepat anda sampai ke tempat tujuan.
Berangkat lebih dini agar perjalanan terasa lebih nyaman dan tidak tergesa-gesa sehingga konsentrasi saat di jalan pun prima.
Bawalah bekal makanan atau minuman secukupnya, jika perjalanan sangat jauh dan melelahkan anda dapat sesekali berhenti sejenak untuk makan atau minum dari bekal yang kita bawa sendiri. Di samping lebih aman juga 'pengiritan'.
Manfaatkan teknologi digital dengan sebaik-baiknya, misal anda punya MP4 mainkan MP4 anda, anda punya MP3 player maka gunakanlah atau anda hanya punya walkman maka itu juga bukan jadi masalah. Yang terpenting, untuk menghindari stress dalam perjalanan pakailah media audio sebagai penghilang kejenuhan.
Dan yang terakhir jangan lupa berdoa sebelum dan sesudah melakukan perjalanan. Kita mungkin tidak pernah atau jarang lupa untuk 'memoho' pada yang di Atas, tapi sering lupa untuk 'bersyukur' sesudahnya.

Cara mencari apa ya? Yang saya maksud kali ini adalah tips mudah dalam pencarian di search engine khususnya di Google. Bagi yang masih awam tentang internet terutama dalam mencari informasi yang harus segera diperoleh tentu akan sangat kesulitan bagaimana cara yang praktis agar maksud atau tujuannya bisa cepat tercapai. Untuk mencari tahu nama document yang terindex pun sangat kesulitan. Atau untuk anda yang senang koleksi mp3, 3gp, video, atau apapun jenisnya tips kali ini pasti akan lebih mempermudah dalam pencarian anda (khusus untuk yang belum tahu) Tips-tipsnya sebagai berikut:

: Mencari suatu halaman sebuah web yang punya judul/title spesifik

Misal : intittle: detiksmart

Kata intitle dapat diganti dengan allintitle

Menggunakan kata bantu intitle

Seperti kita tahu bahwa setiap halaman web memiliki judul atau title. Kata bantu intitle berfungsi mencari dokumen spesifik yang mempunyai judul atau title yang kita tentukan, misalnya :

intitle:”index of” htpasswd

intitle:”admin login”

intitle:”restricted”

link

= Untuk mengetahui situs mana saja yang nge-link ke situs tertentu.

Misal: link:detiksmart.com

= Mencari info tentang suatu alamat web

Tips 1: Gunakan Pencarian Canggih (Advanced Search)

= Untuk mencari hasil yang lebih spesifik

Tips 2: Pencarian Frase

= Gunakan tanda kutip untuk frasa kata (kumpulan dua kata atau lebih)

Maka Google akan memberikan dokumen yang persis (sangat tajam) memuat frase tersebut

Misal: “Introduction to SQL Injection”

Bisa juga menggunakan lebih dari 1 kelompok frasa

Misal: “detiksmart creatif” “gedong kuning”

Misal: “detiksmart gedong kuning”

Penggunaan lain:

“Allahouma Touba Aleyna”

> Maka kemungkinan besar Google akan memberikan segala sesuatu tentang lagu sami yusuf tersebut”

Tips 4: Manfaatkan Directory index

Jika suatu folder/directory tidak mengandung file index (index.html, index.htm, index.php atau index.asp), maka akan ditampilkan daftar file yang ada di folder/directory tersebut, dan judul halaman tersebut menjadi “Index of /nama_folder”.

Tips 5: Manfaatkan Cache Google untuk death page

death page = halaman yang sudah tidak ada/terhapus /berganti namun sempat terindeks google. Ciri: google bisa mendapatkan result halaman itu, namun halaman itu tidak bisa dibuka. Biasanya cache ada disebelah bawah alamat web hasil pencarian google, jadi kita bisa manfaatkan salinan/cache yang sempat tersimpan di google itu

Tips 6: Mengkombinasikan berbagai option untuk mendapatkan hasil pencarian yang lebih spesifik

Misal: pdf “rapidshare.de/files” site:rapidshare.de

> “Mencari buku atau file pdf di rapidshare.de”

+inurl:exe|rar|zip site:rapidshare.de

> “Mencari program, aplikasi di rapidshare.de”

(Kita bisa mengganti site:rapidshare.de menjadi site:megaupload.com dll)

Tips 7:

= Menemukan situs yang memiliki url tertentu > untuk tips-tips penggunaan seperti ini sangat banyak bisa kita dapatkan, namun maaf nggak ana kasih disini silahkan cari sendiri dan harap hanya untuk kebaikan dan ilmu saja

Misal: inurl: wwwboard/passwd.txt

> “Menghasilkan kurang lebih 139 links, yang masing-masing menampilan string yang ada di file passwd.txt (wwwBoard = message board basis CGI yang default passwordnya disimpan di file passwd.txt dengan format username:password”

Positive thinking and optimistic

Anda tahu maksud judul saya itu kan? Maaf kalau salah dalam tulisan atau ejaannya maklum belajar, seperti pernah saya sampaikan dalam posting terdahulu kalau mau tahu atau paham sesuatu maka perlu belajar dan practice, belajar tanpa practice tidak akan ada gunanya, practice tanpa belajar dulu juga akan tidak terarah. Saya sedang belajar sambil berlatih, belajar sambil dipraktekkan. Belajar soal apa? Sebenarnya banyak yang saya pelajari bahkan dalam menulis ini pun saya belajar untuk bisa lebih baik. Namun kali ini saya hanya mau bicara tentang "selingkuhan" saya. Masih ingat kan saya pernah selingkuh? Selingkuhan tentang internet opportunity.

Seperti kata beberapa blogger senior (yang lebih dahulu berkecimpung dalam dunia blogger) bahwa kita harus punya fokus. Sementara pemikiran saya sendiri fokus bisa berarti ganda pula, fokus itu hanya khusus satu bidang, atau fokus yang lebih umum yakni fokus ke internet opportunity. Untuk pilihan pertama berarti dari berbagai macam bisnis online kita diharapkan hanya menekuni satu bidang saja, tujuannya mungkin agar lebih terkontrol dan lebih profesionall. Sedang untuk pilihan kedua, tentu saja itu namanya kan juga fokus, meski fokus dalam hal yang masih umum. Fokus kita ke segala bentuk kemudahan yang diberikan oleh internet. Seandainya kita mampu mengkombinasikan atau istilahnya membagi ruang dan waktu untuk memanfaatkan internet sebagai sumber penghasilan, kenapa mesti satu bidang? Tapi itu semua kan tergantung pilihan kita.

Untuk saya pribadi fokus saya adalah semua tentang internet opportunities, dan paling spesial adalah forex. Namun karena keterbatasan saya untuk dapat menjelaskan secara gamblang tentang yang satu ini jadi saya hanya bisa memberikan sedikit arahan bagi anda yang tertarik juga. Jika anda pemula, dan belum pernah membaca atau bahkan mendengar tentang forex saya hanya akan bilang "hati-hati". Karena memang benar yang sering dikutip dalam caution "forex tidak cocok untuk semua orang, jadi pergunakanlah dana yang tidak terpakai jika anda ingin terjun dalam dunia forex". Sebelum anda masuk atau ikut dalam dunia trading online saya sarankan untuk membaca-baca dulu tentang segala referensi mengenai forex. Banyak sekali situs yang telah menyediakannya secara gratis. Sayapun berencana memberikan kumpulan ebook yang pernah saya dapat, namun belum ada waktu untuk uploadnya. Untuk kali ini saya hanya mau memberikan semangat bagi para pemula atau anda yang belum tahu dan kepingin tahu tentang forex silakan ke forum forexindo (klik di sini). Saya yakin jika anda tekun mempelajari thread yang saya berikan ini, anda sudah mampu untuk ikut dalam dunia forex juga. Sambil berblog ria kita bisa bertrading ria. Fungsi lain mata

Mata merupakan salah satu dari panca indera. Kalau untuk hal ini saya yakin Anda semua pasti sudah tahu. Mata yang merupakan bagian yang sangat penting, yakni sebagai jendela jiwa juga mempunyai fungsi ganda. Dengan kedua mata kita bisa melihat dunia sekitar kita dengan jelas, betapa eloknya alam beserta seluruh isinya. Sampai-sampai cinta pun berawal dari mata. Oh, indahnya cinta... Lewat mata pula kita selalu dapat melihat peristiwa-peristiwa penting dalam hidup kita. Tak terkecuali kadangkala menjerumuskan kita kepada suatu persoalan karena terbawa nafsu yang berujung pada perselingkuhan. Selain yang saya sebutkan di atas mata juga berperanan penting terhadap kesehatan.

Hanya dengan menggerak-gerakkan mata kita dapat mengambil manfaat yang besar dalam kehidupan. Menurut riset (dari luar negeri) manfaat yang dapat diperoleh dari gerakan-gerakan mata antara lain:

Meredakan stress
Dengan menggerakkan mata ke atas dan ke kiri mengaktifkan otak kanan yang bertanggung jawab untuk menyimpan ingatan visual. Kita mempunyai suatu mekanisme di dalam otak yang bekerja seperti antena. Sistem ini menangkap stimuli di dunia sekitar dan mengingatkan otak untuk memperhatikan apa yang membuat anda senang, lalu menyimpannya ke tempat yang mudah untuk dikeluarkan lagi. Nah menggerakkan mata ke kiri membawa pikiran langsung ke tempat penyimpanan visual positif tersebut. Dengan rangsangan ini kita seakan dibawa ke pikiran-pikiran yang menyenangkan sehingga mampu melepaskan hormon rasa takut dan cemas.

Membantu proses mengingat sesuatu dengan cepat
Menggerakkan mata ke kiri dan ke kanan secara cepat dapat meningkatkan interaksi kedua belahan otak, sehingga membuat kita bisa mengingat detail yang mudah diabaikan.

Membangkitkan kreativitas
Menggerakkan mata seakan menelusuri garis miring, misal dari sisi kanan atas ke kiri bawah selama 30 detik dapat membangunkan pikiran kreatif. Gerakan ini menenangkan pemikiran rasional dan logis dialog internal anda. Juga membantu mengakses pikiran anda yang lebih dalam dan proses pemikiran yang kurang disadari untuk membukakan lebih banyak solusi kreatif.

Meningkatkan kelancaran bicara
Menurut studi kasus yang dilakukan di luaran sana, menyatakan bahwa melihat ke kanan mengaktifkan otak kiri yang bertanggung jawab dengan bahasa. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan verbal anda sebelum memberi kata sambutan atau presentasi kerja, coba latihan gerakan ini.

Melalui mata kita bisa menghipnotis dan juga terhipnotis, tergantung mana yang menguasainya. Melalui mata kita bisa dikuasai oleh seseorang, bagi yang bertujuan baik hipnotis dapat membantu kita dalam memecahkan suatu masalah. Misalnya dalam hal kesehatan, sekarang telah mulai dikembangkan oleh para dokter.

Membaca kebenaran dari seseorang
Lewat ekspresi wajah dan mata kita bisa tahu seseorang itu berbohong atau berbicara jujur. Orang yang berbohong cenderung tidak berani menatap wajah lawan bicaranya, atau biasanya akan lebih banyak melihat ke kanan karena mereka harus mengaktifkan pusat bahasa otak belahan kiri untuk dapat mengarang cerita.

Nah itulah berbagai fungsi mata, dan mungkin masih banyak fungsi ganda yang dimiliki mata yang belum tertulis di sini. Paling tidak tulisan ini memberikan inspirasi bagi anda untuk lebih mengembangkan dan menggunakan serta merawat mata sebagai suatu anugrah dari Tuhan yang patut kita syukuri.

Menjadi Pahlawan masa kini, sebuah pilihan

Masih ingatkah anda apa yang terjadi beberapa dekade yang lalu, tepatnya tanggal 10 November 1945. Bulan September, Oktober, November memang penuh dengan peringatan Kepahlawanan bagi bangsa Indonesia. Mulai dari 30 S/PKI (dengan berbagai kontroversi dan rekayasa, tanpa tahu kebenarannya, hanya segelintir orang yang mungkin tahu namun terpaksa tutup mulut karena banyaknya tekanan) kemudian Kesaktian Pancasila (ini juga apakah masih ada atau tidak) kemudian 05 Oktober kita peringati sebagai hari ABRI. Dan yang paling menjadi salah satu tonggak sejarah adalah peringatan 10 November 1945, yang sekarang kita peringati sebagai hari Pahlawan. Dengan bekal alat seadanya, para pendahulu kita gagah berani melawan tentara sekutu yang diboncengi oleh Belanda. Lalu apakah sekarang masih perlu adanya pahlawan?

Tentu saja pertanyaan ini tidak akan muncul jika setiap orang di negeri ini mengerti akan arti pahlawan. Pahlawan tidak harus maju ke medan perang, pahlawan masa kini jauh lebih berat (kalau menurut saya) karena musuh yang kita hadapi tidak kelihatan wujudnya. Lalu apa sebenarnya musuh kita saat ini? Musuh yang harus kita hadapi saat ini adalah kemalasan, kemunafikan, keegoisan, dan berbagai macam sifat-sifat duniawi yang tidak mencerminkan jiwa kepahlawanan. So, mampukah kita menghadapinya? Dengan kesadaran pribadi dan dukungan dari lingkungan di sekitar kita terutama di keluarga masing-masing saya yakin kita mampu menghadapinya, dan menjadikan bangsa kita bangsa yang besar, bangsa yang tidak hanya bisa berkata “kami menghargaimu pahlawan” tapi juga turut serta menjadi seorang pahlawan sejati masa kini. Menjadi seorang wanita atau laki-laki tidak bisa ditawar-tawar, tapi mau atau tidak ikut berpartisipasi itu adalah pilihan. Jadi tentukan pilihan Anda sekarang!
